The "Green Games" competition is a year-long contest.
An effort, made by local businesses, to reduce energy is being celebrated in Arlington County.

ARLINGTON, VA (Catholic Online) - On Thursday, the county is hosting an awards ceremony for its "Green Games" competition. The contest has businesses and property managers reduce their energy and water use, improve recycling, and have environmentally-friendly methods of transportation.

There are more than 100 offices participating in the competition, which is a year long. This number represents 15 million square feet of office space, which is about a third of the total number of office spaces in the county.
