Virginia North LE - Goode, Johnson qualify for November ballot

Catholic Online (www.catholic.org)

It now appears Goode will be on the November ballot.
The Virginia State Board of Elections has confirmed that two controversial presidential candidates have qualified for the November ballot.

VIRGINIA NORTH, VA (Catholic Online) - The Board confirmed Constitution Party Virgil H. Goode and Libertarian Gary Johnson have a place on the November ballot. The state's Republican party sught to keep them off the ballot.

The GOP has alleged fraud in how Goode gained the signatures to qualify for the ballot. The Board has said the matter belongs to the state attorney general.

Making the ballot matters to Republicans. With two conservative contenders on the ballot, state Republicans are worried they will split what will likely be a close vote in a battleground state.
