VIRGINIA NORTH, VA (Catholic Online) - The new cards are going out as the state prepares to enforce new voter ID laws designed to prevent voter fraud. Voters without proper ID may only cast a provisional ballot and will have to confirm their identity with the elections board for their vote to be counted.
Each voter would have only a few days to complete the process. Several such laws have been proposed in states that are considered battlegrounds in the upcoming elections.
