Guilty?
Snakebite deaths are rare in the US but it does happen. And when it does, it's usually at the fangs of a pet. A Chesterfield County man ended his life by adding to that tally on Monday.

VIRGINIA NORTH (Catholic Online) - Chesterfield police have identified the victim as 70-year-old Jack Redmond.

Redmond was an animal lover who kept numerous pets including cats, fish, turtles, lizards and snakes. On Monday, his wife contacted police around 3 pm to report she had found her husband dead along with what appeared to be a snake bite on his hand.

The pet snake was not identified, but family members said it was venomous. An autopsy is scheduled to reveal the cause of death.
